The smallie that i am holding up on my profile came from the U.P. My brotherinlaw and I went to Ironriver on a smallie expedition. If youre not sure where that is, its on the west side of the U.P about 5 miles from badger land, and home of the cheeseheads. The lake we fished was all catch and release only on smallies and large mouth. It was a blast. Only caught a few in the 12 to 15 in range. Most fish we landed were 3 lbs and bigger. We were there about 3 days landed over 100. The giant that my wife caught and the lil bit smaller ones i caught came from Rhinelander Wis. We drug the red and white skeeter to Rhinelander for our honeymoon for big time smallies on their beds. We had a blast caught over 50 one day and lots in the 3 to 3 1/2 lb range. I have never been to the big water on the east side of the state for smallies. Its one of my dreams but have not been able to do it yet.
Jodan and I were dicussing them there handsome smallie's in your pics and were wondering where that is your fishing. Those look like big lake fins, but we know your not an east sider. Whats the scoop? The colors on that guy are incredible.
